The Education Program
Our program is designed to provide an immersive and educational experience for students in grades 3-12. Our goal is to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience that combines the excitement of a museum visit with standards-based curriculum. Through our curriculum “Explorations,” students will delve into concepts related to illusions, perception, and the scientific principles behind optical phenomena. These explorations are designed to engage students before, during, and after their museum visit, ensuring a holistic and meaningful educational journey.
For Teachers
The program offers a wealth of benefits for teachers. We provide ready-made curriculum materials, including educator guides, presentation slides, resources, guided inquiry questions, and a list of suggested exhibits. We will also help you prepare for your trip with a field trip guide and museum orientation. These materials are designed to save you time and effort, allowing you to seamlessly integrate the program into your curriculum. By participating in our program, teachers can enhance their instruction and provide students with an unforgettable learning experience that goes beyond the traditional classroom setting
Teachers Visit Free!
Educators with a valid school ID receive free admission any day of the week. Educator tickets cannot be reserved online. Upon arrival, educators will be asked to complete a brief form at the front desk, where the complimentary ticket will be added during check-in. If visiting with a group, we recommend purchasing all other tickets in advance. The educator ticket can then be added at the front desk upon arrival. Please note: Complimentary admission applies to each individual educator and requires a valid school ID.
For Students
Students will have the opportunity to explore mind-bending illusions, engage in critical and creative thinking, and discover the science behind optical phenomena. They will be captivated by our exhibits, guided by inquiry-based questions, and encouraged to reflect on their learning. Our program fosters curiosity, ignites imaginations, and encourages students to think outside the box.
